Guerrieri Rizzardi at the Merano Wine Festival 2025

The Merano Wine Festival is one of the most authoritative events in the international wine scene. Founded in 1992, it is among the first events in Europe dedicated to the rigorous selection of wines of the highest quality. Each year, producers, critics, sommeliers and enthusiasts gather in Merano to celebrate excellence, terroir and the stories that every glass can tell.
This year as well, Guerrieri Rizzardi will be present at the 34th edition of the Merano Wine Festival, from November 8th to 10th, in the Czerny Hall – Table no. 21, within the Next Platinum Section, dedicated to the labels that have received the highest awards.

During the festival, Guerrieri Rizzardi will present a selection of wines that reflect the identity of the estate’s crus, the care of the vineyards and the vocation to bottle ageing over the years”.

Award-winning labels

• Calcarole Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva 2017 – Gold Award
  An Amarone of remarkable structure and complexity, crafted from old vines enclosed by the traditional marogne (dry stone walls) of Calcarole in Negrar di Valpolicella, at the heart of the Classic Valpolicella area. An iconic wine, celebrated for its elegance and depth.
• 3CRU Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2020 – Gold Award
  A blend of grapes from the estate’s historic vineyards across the Negrar cru sites, offering a modern and harmonious expression of the valley, skilfully combining intensity and finesse.
• Clos Roareti Rosso veronese IGT 2021 – Red Award
  A pure Merlot from grapes grown in a walled vineyard (clos) in Negrar di Valpolicella. A pure expression of terroir, elegant and distinguished by profound aromatic complexity.
• Delara Montebaldo Bardolino DOC 2023 – Red Award
  A Corvina-driven wine from the family vineyards in Cavaion Veronese, versatile and refined. Early harvesting and a short vinification enhance its freshness and drinkability.

Calcarole Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2005

A great vintage of this cru, a rarity in tasting, showcasing the extraordinary ability of Calcarole Amarone to evolve in the bottle. A wine that expresses a cool vintage, where the balance between acidity, tannins and fruit has gradually developed over time.
